In the spring of 2010, the Writers Guild Foundation held its first writing workshop for military veterans and active service personnel. The workshops are designed to assist vets and service men and women in the western US who are interested in writing to tell their stories and find their writing voice. The first west-coast workshop was held on the weekend of May 1- 2. Follow-up evening workshop groups are now meeting monthly, and another weekend will be held in 2011. Visit www.wgfoundation.org for more info.
