At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations). www.ted.com/tedx

The Making of/Behind the scenes/bloopers of my short film “Making A Change”, made for the 48 Go Green online film festival 2011. WEBSITE: www.benhughesstudios.com FACEBOOK facebook.com TWITTER: twitter.com This was easily one of the most hectic productions I’ve gone through. Screenwriting was a mess, as I was the only writer, and had an extremely limited amount of time, and had to work on less than an hour of sleep. I finally came up with a decentish idea for a script at around midnight on Friday, then by around 5:00 AM saturday morning I finished. We filmed all day saturday, but we struggled with locations, and finding actors, and we ended up spending several hours simply waiting for locations or actors to be available. We never found any real good locations to shoot in though, so we ended up using my house for all the indoor scenes and just using camera placement to make people think we were in different locations. Editing was another story, we just barely made the deadline. Equipment Used: -Canon EOS Rebel T2i (550D/Kiss X4) -EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS kit lens -(M42) Chinon 55mm Multi-Coated f/1.7 -DIY ND Fader (made out of two polarizers) -Rode VideoMic, Azden SMX-10 -MiniDV Stabilizer from Balvanz Enterprises -cheap ol’ targus tripod -Smith Victor KT1500U lighting kit Edited in Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 Music by Michael Donner and Kevin MacLeod
